The Company:

Our client is the leading oncology channel committed to improving communication and education with the goal of improving patient care and outcomes. They use the latest technologies and work closely with leading figures in to inform and educate the global cancer community. They are a small but successful team based in central Bristol and are a not for profit organisation.

The Job:

On behalf of our client we are seeking an experience Web Developer. Initially this will be on a 6-month freelance basis working 4 days per week in central Bristol. Our client publishes a free online platform for oncology professionals which incorporates an open-access journal, news, video and e-learning as well as other educational resources. Due to success and expansion they are looking for a Web Developer to help their existing web development team to support their legacy website and develop their new website. Working for this small but successful company will have you working part of a friendly team who are busy and always helpful across the business to ensure deadlines and accuracy is always met.

The Person:

For this role, it’s essential that you have the following experience and knowledge:

• Commercial experience as a web developer



• JavaScript/jQuery


In addition to this you would also ideally have:

• Symfony

• Continued Integration

• Docker

• Elastic Search

Experience and knowledge is important but also important is the ability to get involved in all parts of the business and help others when needed. This is a hugely exciting project and our client is a not for profit organisation so they are looking for someone who is flexible, friendly and committed. This role is working 4 days per week on a freelance basis for 6 months initially. After time, you will be able to work partially from home too.
