Project Engineer - Thetford, Norwich, Norfolk - £23-27k

My client, a global manufacturer to the Oil and Gas Industry is looking for a talented Project Engineer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Carry out a full review of client specifications and quotations for the thyristor control panels to control electric heating elements.

The candidate should then be able to produce an AutoCAD set of control panel schematic diagrams and general arrangement diagrams in accordance with the specifications and ensure full co-ordination with the heater element diagrams that the thyristor control panel will control.

The control panels are all based on simple relay control logic, and do not involve any PLC or software based control systems.

These drawings are then issued to clients for the design to be approved.

During this approval period by clients, the candidate must be able to answer any queries raised on their design.

Once the drawings are returned back from clients the candidate must review all of the comments that have been made against the applicable specifications, any deviations should be resolved with clients before updating the drawings to incorporate the necessary changes.

Once these drawings are completed the candidate must be able to prepare a component list which can be issued to purchasing in order for the components required to build the control panel to be procured.

During the construction of the control panel in the workshop the candidate must ensure all clients requests are met and answer any technical queries raised during the build.

Once the equipment is complete the candidate will arrange a final inspection with the end client, the candidate will then assist where necessary during this inspection in order to achieve a release of the control panel from the client.

The candidate must also be able to answer any technical queries from clients raised on site during installation/commissioning of control panels that they have designed.
