Internal Sales Manager / Sales Support Manager - Sussex (M25)

Circa £55,000 base plus bonus and benefits.

Our client is an established medium sized, added value distributor, which sells IT connectivity components to large project management businesses responsible for refurbishing and building new commercial buildings in London in the public and commercial sectors (finance, retail, health, higher education, etc).

The business is an independent arm of a large UK Group and is presently being restructured to take advantage of future opportunities. The industry is competitive and fast-moving where speed of effective response to customers is essential for success.

The business now requires an Internal Sales Manager / Sales Support Manager to lead a small team and reshape the processes through which internal resources add value at the customer (large installing businesses and end-users) interface.

The position will report to the General Manager and is part of the leadership team. Working closely with colleague departments (Field Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, Purchasing, Finance etc) key areas of focus will include implementing and owning scalable processes for query handling & KPIs, quotations, escalation procedure, CRM, lead generation and expediting.

This is an autonomous role and an opportunity for an experienced individual to make a mark within a business presently undergoing change. Specific industry knowledge is not essential - we are keen to hear from people with experience of technical product environments which face similar challenges (electrical distribution, HVAC systems and components, refrigeration systems and components, automotive, printing systems and components, buildings management systems and components, telecoms systems and components, security systems and components - Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Control, Fire Detection etc) where the commercial processes and challenges are the same.

Comprehensive product training will be given to the successful candidate.
