Account Manager & Digital Lead £28K-£32K basic+commission.

Our client is the oldest and fastest growing self-build magazine in the UK. It is targeted at consumers who are seeking to create their dream home either via a new build or a major renovation. The dynamics of the market are such that although it is a consumer brand, the readers have spending power more commonly seen in B2B media.

Over the last 2 years the business has undergone a major brand transformation, with a redesigned magazine, brand new website, plus the launch of industry awards and exhibitions. As a direct result of this expansion this new role is being created.

They are currently looking for an energetic and highly motivated account manager to join its 4 person sales team. The primary focus of the role will be account management of allocated sectors and offering customers tailored solutions across print and digital platforms and through sponsorship and customer events. The allocated sectors will include existing customers and the Account Manager will be expected to increase revenues from them as well as winning new customers over to the brand.

Whilst this Account Manager will be able to sell solutions across the portfolio, he/she will have special responsibility for driving digital revenues via the website and e-marketing communication.

The other members of the sales team each have special responsibilities over the other platforms of Display, Classified and Exhibitions and as part of the sales team, each member will also be contributing to digital revenues. Media sales experience is essential and experience of selling on digital platforms would be an advantage. This role reports to the Advertising Manager.

Responsibilities of role:

• Developing new business from key chosen sectors primarily via telephone but also via email and face to face.
• Selling print, digital, sponsorship and event packages.
• Working with the rest of the sales and editorial teams to enhance the brand.
• Organising and maintaining the digital ad list its direct competitors. The administration of digital advertising on the websites, ensuring correct ads are put up and taken down at the right times.
• Liaising with the email newsletter provider regarding digital advertising broadcasts. Encouraging team mates to be selling digital solutions as part of their packages so that overall digital targets are hit.
