A two-form entry school in South Gloucestershire is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 3 with autism in September. They are looking for someone who has had some experience of autism, although this could be within a whole class setting and not just 1 to 1.

The school has a long-standing team and has a great focus on inclusion and community links. The school is situated in an inner-city suburb and is expanding.

They are seeking someone who can use their initiative and assist the teacher within the classroom. It is important that the TA is used to working from plans and can teach a small group to achieve a target set. Staff at the school work closely together and it is important that the Teaching Assistant can work within the Year group team and especially with the class Teacher.

At Simply Education our aim is to value and support teachers. In order to do this, we employ two ex-deputy heads and put in place free CPD courses so candidates can develop during their time with us.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:
- Have level 2, 3 or HLTA Qualification
- Have experience of teaching within the UK curriculum; minimum of 6 months
- Be flexible, adaptable and confident
- Have strong behaviour management skills

From working through Simply Education you will benefit from:
- Support and CPD from our ex Deputy Heads who have a vast knowledge of education.
- Free Training courses on Behaviour Management, Supply Teaching and the new primary curriculum.
- Flexibility to work when and where you want
- Competitive rates of pay
- Your own dedicated consultant (a former primary teacher)
- £75 for each teacher you introduce to Simply Education

All candidates who register with Simply Education will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS/CRB check. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks and satisfactory references that cover at least 2 years of employment.
