Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Planner to join BN Defence Limited. BN Defence Limited provides MAOS, DAOS, CFAOS, MIL part 145 and Flight Test services and facilities to defence customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
The Materials Planner will provide material planning and purchasing support to BN Defence. With particular focus on the pre-positioning and expediting of spares and services to support the Depth Maintenance and Modification programmes. The role will also require emphasis on tasking and quotes for defence customers, ensuring on time delivery of contracted tasking, escalating risk as appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate the ordering and progression of spares requirements identified as part of Customer Requirements, Depth Maintenance or Modification packages ensuring that procurement projects are organised in an efficient manner.
Ensure that the aircraft reports are maintained with accurate date regarding demand progression.
Identify and report any risk to contracted aircraft TRT, relating to the supply of spares or services.
Develop relationships with key suppliers to BN Defence. Act as point of contact for suppliers throughout the procurement process, ensuring that there is regular communication and updates as necessary.
Ensure that Purchase Orders are raised, progressed and monitored to meet required lead-times.
Generate the spares reports required to support the Commercial activity associated with Depth Maintenance and Modification programmes.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of working within a supply environment, specifically purchasing and procurement. The candidate will also have good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and be self-motivated.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English, CIPS Level 3 qualified is desirable. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment or similar is essential and any previous experience of working within a military support environment would be advantageous.
Any offer of employment will be conditional, subject to the successful completion of the Company's
Security Clearance process. This will be arranged by the Company on the candidate's behalf.
