Position: Road Tanker Inspection Engineers
Location: Bristol (and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Permanent
Package: £26k on commencement of training. £28k once leak proof qualified after 3 months. £30k on completion of training after 6 months. £32k after 18 months. £33k after 3 years. £34.5k after 5 years.

This well-respected company has built long standing relationships with large national companies as well as small local businesses, they have also been placed in a high position of trust working with the MOD.
By investing training and time, they ensure they are able to present inspectors that are the best in the industry, meaning candidates will have the opportunity to develop invaluable to skills to support them in their role.
This is a very stable company with a long-standing workforce, who are looking to double their business over the next 5 years.
The role would be suitable for vehicles fitters. HGV Fitters, commercial vehicle engineers, mechanical vessel engineers, mechanical tanker engineers, mechanical engineers. All apprentice trained engineers.

The Role: The role will be the inspection of a variety of road tanker vehicles, completing low and high-pressure vessel examinations, Safe Loading Passes and Meter calibrations.
From any faults or issues identified these will be highlighted to the customer so that they can be rectified. On satisfaction that the vessel meets with the necessary standards and requirements, the relevant paperwork will then be finalised.
Successful candidates will undergo a 3-month training period. This will cover theory and practical assessments, plus shadowing current staff on their daily work.

The Person: The company has nationwide coverage; therefore, candidates must be flexible, willing to travel and be available for overnight stays when and where needed. The company also has overseas contracts, consequently candidates must be willing and able to travel abroad.
Due to the time and training invested, the company is looking for people who are committed to long term ongoing employment.
Candidates will need to be self-motivated as following the initial training period this role involves lone working and early starts.
As the candidates will be the public face of the company, they will need to be credible, presentable and personable.

Looking for candidates who have a very high attention to detail. Experience of working with road tankers would be advantageous, demonstrating experience in a mechanical or electrical field. The company has had particular success with candidates from a commercial vehicle technical / mechanical background.
