Corporate Finance - Associate Manager. Top ten firm
Reputable Top ten firm are seeking an Associate Manager to join their high quality corporate finance team. Operating in the SME and medium size transaction market, the firm provides commercial and honest advice. The Corporate Finance team has an ever growing client base, comprising a mixture of AIM listed, SME and large private clients, some of whom are regulated by the FCA. The client base is global although largely based in the UK. The team is not sector specific and the group has clients in most industries.
The role will assist senior members within the department to manage a portfolio of corporate finance projects.
Assist in the management of the Corporate Finance department in carrying out their roles. This will include work in the following areas: due diligence/investigations, financial projections reviews, producing financial projections, company valuations, producing and reviewing business plans, advising on M&A transactions including acquisitions, disposals, MBOs and fundraising.
Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of Corporate Finance and be able to put those ideas across to others, internally and externally.
Arrange and attend meetings with actual and potential clients.
Further develop internal contacts and have a full awareness of the services offered by other departments in the firm, thereby maximising cross selling opportunities.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of internal presentations/ training courses.
Assist newer/junior team members with general and technical queries when/if required.
Prepare and research business proposals to potential new clients.
Actively participate in internal group meetings demonstrating a clear and concise consideration of the issues to be addressed.
Take responsibility for the correspondence you produce and its filing.
Take responsibility for drafting reports for submission to clients, ensuring there are no errors.
Assist in preparing technical seminars and to promote wider technical knowledge of your department.
Demonstrate an ability to spot and develop business opportunities and actively support marketing initiatives.
Attributes, requirements & skills:
ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent professional qualification desirable
Audit background with proven report writing skills within similar practice environment
Results oriented with excellent interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external clients in a professional manner
Experience in areas including capital market transactions (AIM), M&A lead advisory, due diligence and valuations is desirable
Excellent MS Office working knowledge
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to work flexibly, multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus
Good analytical and problem solving skills Excellent level of communication (both written and verbal)
