Job Title: Producer - Trainee/Junior/Gallery

Location: Outskirts of Peterborough

Salary: up to £35,000 per annum

Job Purpose

Responsible for the successful editorial and product display in each live show. Consistently identifying unique selling points, previous sales history & managing live data whilst incorporating maximizing sales through 'education and demonstration.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

* Responsible for the successful content and educational qualities of live and pre-recorded shows; utilising USPs, sales analysis
* Maximize sales by cross selling upsell items and monitoring live sales data, adjusting the live show format where necessary to capitalize on potential sales and increased 'basket' spend.
* Has a full understanding of the full production process and limitations, reacting to and problem solving
* Attends Forward planning meetings, preps with buyers to ensure accurate product knowledge is ascertained.
* Develops Creative formats, builds guest relationships and confidence to ensure educational and successful demonstrations are delivered and extra studio requirements are acknowledged.
* Identify all products USP's and construct a clear show format to be delivered to the TV team during the pre-production meeting.
* Briefs presenters to ensure successful show format and accurate product knowledge is achieved.
* Supports Presenters throughout shows whilst adopting the role of the viewer ensuring all product information is delivered accurately and concisely. Consistently promoting and managing audience interaction.
* Remains reactive to last minute schedule changes without compromising on show content or production always being mindful we are a live broadcasting channel.
* Plays out, checks and adds relevant information on the Hope system
* Provides factual, clear and precise post-production notes including brief show format and accurate show information with a view of providing a points to action feedback approach for consistency and show development,
* Understands ASA compliance issues and boundaries, investigating alternatives to allow the selling message to be fulfilled in a 'safe' manner. Remains in constant control and ensures any possible breaches are covered and reported. Utilises ASA scripts and information appropriately.
* Exercises creative flair to ensure that channel branding, identity and motto is retained.
* Works under own initiative and juggles multiple tasks in order to prioritise daily responsibilities.
* This position requires working a 7/14 shift pattern; the shift pattern remains flexible to take into account production requirements.
* Amendments may be made subject to operational review.

Trainee - Minimum no. 575 of Live Producing hours)

During the 3-month probationary period the Trainee will:

* Develop relationships with Buyers, Marketing, Presenters, Production teams, Guests and Suppliers.
* Understand the production processes required to achieve all daily tasks.
* Attends regular tape reviews to identify messages portrayed in the eyes of the viewer,
* Producing 4-6 hours per day in conjunction with company requirements and criteria.
* Reviews own shows to analyse personal successes and areas requiring improvement.
* Works with guidance from Senior Producer.
* By the end of the 3-month period the trainee will be competent in most tasks with the minimum of assistance.
* Read and learn ASA compliance, asks questions where necessary and complete ASA test.
* Within 6 months the Trainee will have completed shows in all categories

Junior Producer:

* Has successfully completed a minimum of 1 years training and/or 575 producing hours
* Takes on all tasks asking for assistance if required.
* Understands ASA compliance issues and finds alternative ways of utilising information when necessary.
* Builds on relationships with ALL other departments.
* Working closely with marketing to ensure complete product and show brief continuity.
* Ensures that shows are forward planned, ensuring upcoming shows are fully prepared and all requirements are put into place.
* Produces all established shows

Gallery producer:

* Has successfully produced a minimum of 1500 live hours
* Reviews and reformats existing show strands.
* Uses initiative to take on extra tasks and prep.
* Works with the team to ensure that all workloads are covered offering assistance when required.
* Produces all shows.
* Takes on extra hours when required.
* Assists the Senior Producer in the training and development of all trainee and junior team member
