Technical Sales Manager – Personal Care Ingredients

Our client is a well-established manufacturer and formulator of speciality ingredients used in an array of industries. Veblen has been selected to recruit a Technical Sales Manager on behalf of the company to sell its range of ingredients in to the personal care and cosmetics markets.

The Responsibilities
*Development of new customers and maintenance of existing accounts
*Manage distributors
*Contribute to the development of new products
*Plan, execute and report on all sales visits and meetings
*Actively monitor sales performance of key customers
*Participate in exhibitions for the promotion of personal care products
*Contribute to the development of company literature, brochures etc
*Maintain professional internal and external relationships
*Gain an understanding of technical and commercial needs of customers
*Keep abreast of industry and market trends
*Develop a strong technical understanding of company products, their benefits and formulation characteristics to communicate that information clearly to customers
*Provide technical support to customers

The Requirements
*Good commercial sales experience
*Degree educated I Chemistry / Cosmetic Science or related discipline
*Full UK driving licence
*Knowledge of the Personal Care industry
*Ability to understand new technologies and apply this knowledge to business development
*Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
*Previous experience of selling raw materials into the personal care, cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry
