With a strong focus on digitalization and marketing automation, our client is looking for an experienced and talented direct marketing manager to develop the North Sea territory. You will be part of the team implementing a new CRM system and will be responsible for executing and developing the direct communication local customers to this region.

The direct marketing manager is based in London (Victoria) as part of the UK marketing department and will work closely together with colleagues in the Netherlands and the global CRM team. (Some travel required!)

What does a direct marketing manager do?

As a direct marketing manager you would be responsible for driving the CRM and omni-channel work in the UK for the North Sea area. You would be instrumental in developing customer relationships through different channels and various customer touch points to create added value for both the customers and the brand. You will pro-actively work with loyalty programs as well.

The direct marketing manager will suggest and implement campaigns and sales activities based on data analyses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for segmenting and analyzing both existing and potential customers.

At the same time you will manage current customer communication in all touch points and make sure the correct processes are in place and working effectively.

Responsibilities

*CRM plan development and execution to drive acquisition, retention and loyalty in order to generate maximum revenue.

*End-to-end management of CRM campaigns for the North Sea within brand guidelines.

*Increase the attractiveness, awareness and membership of the Extra (loyalty) and Business Traveller schemes within the agreed cost levels and membership targets established with the Group Loyalty team.

*Undertake post-campaign analysis, producing wrap-up reports and making recommendations for campaign improvement.

*Work with customer segmentation to communicate with our current customers and identify potentials

*Use analytics tools to assess how effective email and direct marketing campaigns have been in terms of ROI and meeting targets.

*Set up, analyse and distribute customer insight reports.

*Undertake customer analysis. Ensure the Travel Commercial Team is aware of current customer trends so opportunities for offer and/or product development, message refinement and campaigns can be devised.

*Manage the direct marketing budget.

Required experience and skills

*Educated to degree level to a minimum 2:1 - preferably in a subject strongly related to Marketing
*Minimum 3 years' experience in a direct marketing or CRM environment
*Commercially astute with a proven track record of growing online sales in a large multi-channel organization
*Knowledge and proven experience in database and data quality
*Proven track record of turning data insights into actionable recommendations
*Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
*Well-versed in CRM marketing best practices and up-to-date with the latest trends
*Experience in the travel of tourism industry is a bonus
