A mobile games studio are looking for an iOS developer to join their team. Using the latest methodologies and technologies you will be expected to contribute ideas on technical direction, as well as undertaking full life cycle development of the iOS applications. Responsibilities include full lifecycle development, peer code reviews, writing unit tests, debugging, helping to manage the build process including CI, submitting applications via the Apple App Store, and suggesting ways to continually improve our product and development practises.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced iOS developer with a proven software development background. You will be technically expert and passionate about a wide range of technologies and will look forward to contributing to the on-going development of the mobile product suite.
Required technical skills and experience include:
*Strong mobile development skills with a minimum of four years' commercial development experience and at least 11/2 of those dedicated to iOS. Applicants must have published at least one application themselves.
*Deep understanding of iOS application architecture and frameworks, including:
oExperience using profiling tools for problem solving and performance.
oObjective-C (or Swift) and Cocoa Touch.
oiOS Frameworks, e.g. Core Data, UIKit and StoreKit.
oUnderstanding of memory-management using ARC.
*Intimate first-hand knowledge of the code signing process and application submission process, along with management of provisioning profiles and certificates.
*Experience working with Git version control and related best-practises.
*Expertise in object-oriented and asynchronous programming techniques.
*Strong working knowledge of REST services consumption and working with JSON.
*A thorough understanding of the limitations, quirks and best-practice around building apps to work on a range of differing physical devices.
*Experience working in an agile/Scrum development environment.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-have, but not necessary):
*Game development experience.
*SpriteKit and/or Cocos-2D experience.
*Web Socket knowledge and experience.
*Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environments.
*Experience with other mobile platforms.
*Experience with third-party frameworks and APIs, e.g. AFNetworking, Facebook SDK
*Experience developing HTML/JavaScript applications.
