Local authority looking for experienced Project Manager to develop and implement affordable housing strategies and initiatives to meet a wide range of housing needs in the local area within the context of creating sustainable communities.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Contributing to the effective management of the internal and external financial resources available for delivering additional affordable housing;

• Managing consultants and trainees as required;

• Building effective partnerships with Registered Providers (RPs) and other social housing providers, the Greater London Authority, CLG, private developers, sub regional partners , corporate colleagues and other key stakeholders.

• Provision of professional advice within the Community Directorate and other directorates on affordable housing initiatives;

• Researching, assessing and implementing new affordable housing initiatives, delivery methods and products to meet housing need in the borough.

Applicants should have experience of effectively managing complex projects to time and within budget. Developing and implementing new initiatives, experience of using computers at an intermediate level and using appraisal software, such as Proval or other appraisal tool.

This will be an initial 8 week contract working 37 hours a week.
