The Opportunity:
VEUL is one of the UK’s market leaders in delivering centralised community energy projects. As a result of our continuing success we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors; as such we have an exceptional opportunity for a Hydraulics Engineer based in London with responsibility for providing on-site engineering support for the Energy & Asset Management Team.

The role:
The role will involve providing on-site engineering support for metering and billing projects including the installation and commissioning of hydraulic interface units. The successful candidate will:
• Provide front-line support to customers and clients; responding to call-outs to identify and resolve faults.
• Support pre-payment sites; and attend to resolve on-site problems.
• Conduct site surveys for new installations.
• Install and commission Hydraulic Interface Units and metering equipment, as well as maintaining and resolving identified issues with existing installed equipment.
• Carry out on site audits and meter reading tours to ensure that equipment is operating as per design.
• Commission pre-payment equipment and respond effectively to identify faults.

The role will be site based in London and requires a willingness to travel. You will also be required to actively take part in the callout / standby rota. A full UK driving licence; a willingness to work away from home combined with a flexible approach to working practices and hours is therefore essential.

The candidate:
Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 – Plumbing and Heating
• CSCS card

Knowledge and Experience
• Solid understanding of electrical and plumbing principles and previous customer service experience.
• An understanding of hydraulic diagnosis and test procedures.

We also need you to be IT literate with experience in all Microsoft Office applications. Able to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels; and to work to deadlines with minimum supervision.
