We have an exciting new opportunity for an Apprentice to join our IT Services team within our NSML subsidiary (Newcastle Systems Management Ltd).

Through completion of the initial Level 3 IT apprenticeship (followed by levels 4, 5 & 6 Software & Web Development Standards), paired with on the job experience you will be trained in the development and support of software solutions to meet the needs of the Newcastle Building Society (NBS) Group.

Role Summary

Through on the job and provider training you will attain and then demonstrate competence in the various accountabilities including;

To support the development of systems requirements within the NBS Group. Undertaking systems analysis, design and specification of new and existing system changes.
To maintain high standards of software development in accordance with agreed standards change control procedures.
To play a supporting role in system implementation, communication of changes, ongoing support and maintenance of systems.
To assist, when required, in software evaluation
To contribute to all other development activities within the department as a continuing improvement of programming standards at NSML

Skills and Experience

5 GCSE’s (Grade A-C) is essential, preferably including an ICT grade.
Demonstrable basic understanding and usage of a personal computing device is essential along with basic IT administration skills.
The Ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients via a range of methods along with first class attention to details is a must.
