Sopra Banking Software has an exciting new opportunity for a UK Marketing Manager to join our business. The role of the UK Marketing Manager is to analyse and understand the UK financial services market and to use this knowledge and understanding to contribute to the development of an appropriate marketing strategy, utilising relevant assets and resources in the deployment of the strategy, successfully resulting in new sales opportunities.

In principle the role of the UK Marketing Manager is to focus on the Sopra Banking Software brand, working with reporting analysts, and events and lead management. This position will operate from either our London or Sheffield central offices with regular travel, there will also be the need to spend two days per fortnight in our Brussels or Paris offices.

The key duties for the UK Marketing Manager are:

• To develop and execute the UK Marketing strategy in accordance with Sopra Banking Software marketing strategy and overall Sopra marketing and brand rules
• To leverage from the work being carried out in the wider Sopra Group to build the Sopra brand, but more importantly, the brand of Sopra Banking Software in UK
• To effectively utilise the assets and resources at your disposal and build the team to support the execution of the marketing plan
• To generate sales leads through demand creation marketing
• To understand sales objectives and targets to ensure effective alignment and prioritisation of marketing investment
• Contribute to the improvement of the corporate and global marketing & communication practices
• Provide regular content for internal and external publications
• Manage UK communications - internal & Public Relations
Areas covered by the UK Marketing Manager:
• Management of the Sopra Banking Software brand
• Oversee design and production of marketing materials
• Media and PR liaison e.g.; strategy, management of 3rd party agencies, production of high quality press releases and the distribution process
• Work with the sales and account managers to ensure customer and prospect details are kept up to date and oversee the distribution list for customer communications
• Internal communications e.g.; coaching of senior management, review of materials produced by colleagues, management and maintenance of intranet
• Event management e.g.: industry conferences, exhibitions, promotional events, Customer User Conferences, and corporate hospitality events
• 3rd party liaison with PR and consultancies
• Monthly reporting of management information
• Budget Management

We are looking for candidates ideally with the following skills & attributes:

• 5-10 years working experience in marketing
• Experience of digital marketing
• Basic oral and written French
• Educated to degree level ideally in Marketing or similar
• Experience in the banking or software industries
