The Construction Team at Milton Keynes College are looking to appoint a knowledgeable professional within Electrical Installation to deliver creative and inspirational courses to the Electricians of the future.

As a Course Team Leader of Electrical, you will be working collaboratively within the wider team of Built Environment The vocational team are responsible for delivering creative and innovative sessions to students with an interest of developing a career within the electrical industry. You will possess an understanding of electrical installation, ideally from your own practical experience; you will be able to relate to the delivery of the course.
Students studying for a career in the electrical trade will benefit from your invaluable hands-on experience alongside the knowledge they will need to enter the electrical industry whilst learning in a safe and industry standard environment. The Innovation and Technology Centre is equipped with like for like equipment that is used within the workplace and allows our students to study in a real life environment.

We are keen to hear from ideal candidates within the electrical engineering and building industry, who are also interested to move into a career within teaching and have the real electrical industry knowledge to bring into a classroom setting. Milton Keynes is a rapidly growing town, and as such skills gained within the Built Environment courses are in high demand in the local area.

As a desirable candidate you will have?A Level 3 NVQ electrical qualificationUp to date knowledge in a relevant discipline/ subject areaHave proven industry experience of Construction trades, and be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of this industryEvidence of providing high quality effective programmesBe able to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of students and be willing to explore new teaching and learning strategiesExperience of identifying, developing and sharing resources focused on teaching and learning
