Our client, a leader in their market is undertaking a period of growth and need to recruit for a Business Development Executive to join their existing team:

The suitable candidate will be:
• Organised and adept at managing and prioritising work to meet objectives and complete tasks on time;
• A confident and effective networker and communicator, and able to interact with people at all levels inside and outside the company;
• Persuasive, with strong communication skills, face to face and on the telephone;
• Able to present information clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing;;
• Able to work independently but also able to develop and maintain supportive working relationships within the sales and marketing team;
• Proficient using Microsoft Office, Power Point, and Excel;
• Committed and able to meet objectives and completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner;
• Detail oriented

Overall Responsibilty:
• The primary role of the BDE is to prospect for new clients by networking, directly approaching, leveraging marketing activity and other means to generate interest from potential clients.
• They must plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.
• The BDE must quickly develop a rapport with new clients, meet objectives for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients;
• It is the BDE’s responsibility to develop a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors;
• The job will be office based but, will require site visits for face to face meetings.

New Business Development
• Prospecting for potential new clients and turn this into increased business;
• Meeting potential clients – virtually or in person. Grow, maintain, and leverage the network;
• Identifying potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation. Expand the internal client network;
• Researching and building relationships with new client;
• Renewing contact with past clients;
• Planning and managing a winning sales strategy;
• Participating in designing and pricing the solution/service.
• Using a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
• Seeking opportunities to cross sell and upsell.

Client Retention
• Managing a portfolio
• Presenting new products and services and enhance existing relationships and aid client retention.
• Arranging and participating in internal and external client debriefs.

Management and Research
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the CRM and other sales management systems.
• Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
• Work with marketing staff to ensure full participation in marketing programmes.
• Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
• Understand the client company’s goal and purpose
