Data Analyst – Cambridge – Up to £30k!

Data / Oracle / SQL / XML

As part of the Product Management team you will be acting as an expert on Oracle based sales analytics in Europe, North America and Asian channels. The company recorded a global turnover of £350 million last year and now sells into 120 countries.

The Organisation

They already have clients such as Pepsi, Coca Cola, BAT and Diageo and distribute a product range of thermal transfer and cutting edge digital lasers to over 120 locations- to give you a rough idea of the data you will be working with! Also… Their flagship product sells for £500,000 and last year they sold 100,000 units!

They operate in a state of the art working space, working on the most cutting edge products and technologies. A really social and outgoing office, your role would involve fitting into a highly talented data analytics team.

The Role

You will providing detailed analyses to drive the sales strategy of a Multi-million pound company to help drive sales strategy and customer analytics at a technology, product and sector level.

-          Analysis for the six European, two North American and one Asian Oracle channels

-          Use analytical tools to highlight opportunities for increased market opportunities and existing customer bases

-          Make recommendation as to actions to key stakeholders based on aftermarket analysis

-          Train other employees in similar roles to be able to generate basic analysis for themselves

-          Support new sector development teams with historical data on various aspects of their sectors

-          Increase channel coverage as more business come onto the Oracle platform. This will include Portugal, Sweden, Mexico, India, Korea, and Dubai.

What`s required of a Data Analyst?

- Degree in business analytics, accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics or similar fieldS ‘A` levels (or equivalent) including Maths.
- Experience of analysing large volumes of data and extracting main themes
- Experience of working in a commercial environment
- A proven record of understanding a business`s products and recognising opportunities for them within the data analysed
-  Ability to use MS Powerpoint or similar
- Data analysis
- Excellent MS Excel ability
- Ability to assimilate complex information quickly
- Ability to use SQL, Crystal reporting or similar (desirable)
