Engineering project leader required to manage multiple R&D projects related to capital equipment predominantly used in the food industry. The role will see you managing projects consisting of technical and application specialists, mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software design engineers. Additionally the role will interface with numerous external development partners. Overall the role shall participate in the development of innovative new inspection technologies to a level where they can be industrialised for series manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

Develop full project plans for the R&D projects and work streams.
Coordinate requirements capture and develop target milestones.
Manage project budgets and maintain financial reports.
Manage the projects and matrix team on a daily basis.
Lead weekly team project meetings and maintain up to date issues and risk logs.
Report on projects in monthly steering group meetings.
Manage relationships and work packages with external partners.
Own and manage the timing plan through the project.
Manage risks and issues through the project.
Identify documentation required to support the project and coordinate its creation.
Act as single point of contact through the project.
Participate in setting up and running an R&D lab.

We are looking for a degree qualified Engineer with a proven track record of coordinating a team of Engineers to successfully deliver R&D projects on time and within budget.
