I am currently recruiting for a Customer Service Operator to work for my Client in Ipswich Town Centre, based within their vehicle operations team.

Responsibilities will include -

• To answer all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
• To deal with vehicle breakdowns and customer enquiries while ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum and costs are maintained within budgetary guidelines
• To keep the relevant technical fleet engineer and operations manager fully informed of all customer and fleet issues as soon as possible
• To ensure that the computer operating system is maintained with the latest information at all times
• To maintain a list of outstanding costs and continually chase suppliers to ensure outstanding costs are kept to a minimum
• To inform all clients of any re-charge items as soon as possible

The ideal candidate will have an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills. You will be able to work on computer systems with accuracy and be able to follow your own initiative while under pressure. It is also desirable that you have some knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements, however this is not essential.

Hours of work are 8am-6pm with 1 hour for lunch, but after probation you will be added to a rota system when some potential weekend/evening cover may be needed.

The Client is offering a competitive salary of up to £20,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus full training and benefits.
