Fantastic opportunity to join a well established company based in the heart of Newbury. Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team on a 6-10 weeks temporary basis starting ASAP and offering a yearly salary of £28,899.

As the Supply Chain Manager you will be required to ensure timely sourcing of products and accessories from our parent company in China. Monitor and forecast stock & inventory levels to maintain optimum supply availability. Track shipping, liaise with freight forwarders & 3PL's for swift clearance and availability for customer fulfilment. Manage 3rd party warehouse & relationship. Manage, update & develop system.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Inbound
* Communicate with HQ Sales/ASS & logistics team/Germany/Spain/USA regarding the stock requirements and ETD according to the tracker
* Monthly forecast & replenishment plan in conjunction with the Sales team (UK & HQ)
* Raise PO for agreed stock requirements & Monitor the shipments
* Communicate with port to warehouse team (in Milton Keynes) regarding the delivery time
* Review the VAT/Duty invoice , including commodity codes
* Generate ASN for 3PL and follow through to completion
* Clarify & resolve any discrepancies as they occur

2. Outbound
* Coordinate the Customer dispatches with 3PL and advise/resolve any exceptions timely (late/no show)
* Ensure POD's are available for Customer Service to collect & upload if customers request
* Source potential delivery suppliers if necessary (outside of 3PL)
* Coordinate the logistic requirements with 3PL in line with Customer vendor agreements

3. Expenditure
* Review the delivery cost of freight forwarding 'port to warehouse'
* Review the weekly cost from 3PL
* Review additional costs incurred
* Communicate with 3PL if cost is not right
* Generate the pallet reports & additional adhoc logistics analysis for financial team
* Weekly review with Manager on costs and associated KPI's

4. Other
* Internal ITO & KPI reporting
* Set & monitor 3PL KPI's
* 3PL stock takes twice per year
* Compliance with all statutory bodies, educate the business on the requirements, maintain comprehensive records
* Deliver daily, weekly & monthly reports as agreed within the business
* Review current process & procedures, update/upgrade

The ideal candidate:
* Supply chain experience in a similar Manufacturing, FMCG or Retail environment
* Customer facing experience with excellent communication & inter-personal skills
* Highly analytical, Systematic, controlled, organised
* Highly motivated and able to build close working relationships internally & externally
* Confident with the ability to work on own initiative
* Highly computer literate (Microsoft Office package & Industry standard WMS programs)
* Degree educated or relevant experience supported by career track record &/or additional qualification
