Logistics Analyst required to work at the head office for a very large and successful UK based retail chain. This is a temporary opportunity with an aim to be permanent.
Prime purpose of the role:
To ensure optimal stock fulfilment by way of raising orders and inputting levels, central stock holding and highlighting poor performing suppliers
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management
" Keying all relevant levels
" Keying all relevant orders
" Increasing orders
" Stock fulfilment reports with the supplier
" Any promotional activity must be fully supported with appropriate levels of stock replenishment.
" Identify and question any lines not performing to expectation ( i.e. High stocks and low/no sales)
" Monitor `critical` stock lines.

Purchase order Management
" Highlight to the Logistics Analyst supplier performance against lead times
" Highlight to the Logistics Analyst any underperforming Suppliers
" Highlight to the Logistics Analyst any suppliers who regularly do not meet minimum order values when replenishing.
" Maintain and create suitable ordering schedules ( Including prescribed bookings)

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent IT skills specifically in Excel - Intermediate level is required
- Previous Logistics experience or of a similar nature
