You will provide expert advice, guidance and assistance on all Health and Safety matters to ensure compliance with all H&S legislation, company policies, procedures and the management system which conforms to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The Candidate

In order to apply for this role you must meet the essential criteria noted below:
•Qualified to NEBOSH Certificate level as a minimum or at least working towards it
•Good overall experience of the CONSTRUCTION sector
•An understanding of the safety management procedures in working with pressure systems, electrical installations, pipe line and civil work types
•Experience in accident and incident investigation procedures
•Extensive experience in identification of risks and assessment of controls
•Previous experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, enforcing authorities and principal contractors
•Excellent communicator with good listening skills/Full UK driving licence is essential

The Role

Within this role you will be responsible for:
•Ensure that all colleagues and contractors fully understand and comply with all H&S policy and procedures
•Identify areas of improvement and implement solutions to mitigate H&S risk
•Identify and address non-compliance policies and procedures
•Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of H&S, including but not limited to the whole lifecycle of construction requirements, e.g. construction documentation review, site inspections, training, etc.
•Carry out the investigation of injuries, incidents and near misses within the network
•Ensure that statutory and company reporting requirements are met
•Build and maintain effective positive and proactive relationships with all stakeholders
•Carry out inspections to monitor the application of H&S policies and procedures and recommend remedial actions
