Full time Position - Hours of work 38.25 per week (Mon-Thurs) 8.45am to 5pm - 30 mins for lunch and Friday 8.45am – 4.30pm - 30 mins for lunch

Fab Recruitment is looking for an experienced quality improvement co-ordinator to work within the existing quality team.

Main responsibilities:
• Raising standards in teaching and learning in Classroom based provision
• Co-ordinating the IQA process to ensure timely achievement of qualifications
• To carry out observations of teaching and learning

The candidate must:
• Have recent OFSTED experience
• Be experienced in carrying out Observations of teaching and learning
• Be familiar with IQA processes
• Have worked in a quality role previously
• Have knowledge of FS standards

• Cert Ed or PGCE or other relevant teaching qual – essential
• Assessor or IQA qual – desirable

You will be responsible for supporting and co-ordinating internal and external quality assurance standards and processes, including the standardisation of approach to delivery, to ensure that it is consistent across the learner journey, tutoring team and company. To support the quality manager and business managers to raise standards in teaching, learning and assessment.

Main Tasks:
• To plan, organise and co-ordinate all internal qualification assurance within classroom based delivery.
• Lead continuous improvements within the business and specifically at branch level
• Use existing reports to support delivery staff and drive up performance against the business goals. Provide a support function to ensure delivery staff consistently use data to inform and improve their own performance
• Ensure that all staff are fully aware of and competent across all operational processes.
• Ensure processes, systems and procedures are monitored to ensure contractual compliance and quality at all times.
• Provide training, advice and guidance to staff and sub-contractors on continuous improvement related matters in raising standards, with a clear focus on the achievement of the business improvement plan.
• Provide structured and bespoke training and development to all staff as identified within the training plan/OTLA feedback and ensure that staff are consistently delivering high quality teaching and learning in line with the qualification standards and OFSTED requirements.
• To plan, organise and co-ordinate standardisation meetings across all qualifications
• To lead on curriculum development and updating of support materials and resources for all qualifications and non accredited delivery, to include regular review of all Awarding Body workbooks/updates to ensure standards are maintained.
• Assist in the management of EQA visits.
• Manage the IQA process at the branch level and carry out direct IQA activity across the different delivery areas.
• Ensure compliance to all statutory legislation with regard to Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Disability, Safeguarding, Data Protection/Information Security etc.
• Identify and share best practice with delivery staff and management and provide direct support to the branch manager to ensure business goals are met.
• Ensure the timely, effective and appropriate communication/liaison with management, customers and other external bodies/organisations.
• Provide accurate and timely management information/reports to the branch manager, delivery staff and external bodies/organisations, as and when required.
• Encourage and ensure a quality culture for continuous improvement, ensuring that the Company’s Quality Assurance systems are adhered to at all times.
• Be a safeguarding rep on the safeguarding committee
• To induct new assessors to Awarding Body guidance and company policies and procedures.
• To provide internal quality assurance training to all members of staff as required, encouraging participation from all members of staff to increase the number of IQA’s company wide.
• To provide advice and guidance to all (IQA’s) on best practice and ensure that CPD logs are completed to reflect this.
• Support the Quality strategies and deliver training where required

Experience / Qualifications;

• Cert Ed/PGCE (or equivalent)
• TAQA qualified.
• Maths and English at level 2 minimum (subject specialism at level 3 desirable)
• Safeguarding Level 3
• Management L3 qualification (or demonstrable experience)
• Full driving licence, their own vehicle and business insurance
• Minimum of 6 months internal verification experience, within specialist subject area(s)
• Experience of mentoring, coaching, delivering training or supporting personal development.
• Experience of managing awarding body requirements including all EQA requirements
• Experience in OTLA and managing underperforming areas within a delivery setting.
Experience of dealing with Safeguarding issues
