Our client, a City based Online Brokerage is looking to recruit an SMR professional with experience of implementing SMR in a small bank is required to implement a structurally sound Senior Manager's Regime framework and incorporate it into business as usual.
A short term role, open ended until the completion of the project.
Main duties:
? Develop Management Responsibilities Map (MRM), prescribed responsibilities, Statements of Responsibility
? (SoRs), internal governance, committee Terms of Reference, Form A preparation and submission.
? Review organisation structure and job descriptions. Liaise with management and HR in respect of any necessary changes.
? Examine high level management and governance structure for consistency with regime requirements and advise on any appropriate amendments.
? Provide design advice/structure for completion of MRM, consult on prescribed responsibilities, identify and consider the firms operations and any SMR implications.
? Provide any required guidance on completion of SoRs.
? Detail any required updates to HR policies and procedures covering leavers, joiners, promotions, transfers etc.
? Detail any required amendments to disciplinary, grievance, whistleblowing, appraisals etc. policies and procedures.
? Fitness and propriety assessments.
? Implement a Certification process.
? Conduct breaches definitions, records, reporting.
? Initial and ongoing SMR training to SMF's.
? Monitoring of regulatory developments and proposing changes of systems and controls in response to emerging trends and changes of regulatory rules.
