Data Analyst (HR) with excellent Excel skills required for initial 4 month contract with my client in Oxford.

As data analyst this position is responsible for providing functional and analytical support to the Human Resources Management Systems Implementation Team (HRMS-IT).  Also configuring and testing system changes, providing functional and technical assistance to HR-users.

Key Accountabilities

- Create data templates for use by HR Team and transform data for upload into supplier`s technical input spreadsheets.
- Work with the supplier and HRMS-IT and IT on system upgrades to ensure testing is complete before it is released to the business.
- Complete UAT testing and system enhancement testing.
- Provide HR Reporting and Analytics support to key stakeholders e.g. HRIS-IT, HR Team and IT Team.
- Develop a suite of monthly HR reports and metrics used by various HR stakeholders and ensure that any changes and updates are implemented.
- Respond to ad-hoc HR reporting requests and be the single point of contact for data and system queries.
- Develop and provide training to HR teams on extracting HR data and reports from HR system and analysing the data to produce insightful metrics.
- Provide HR reporting and analytics support and expertise as part of cyclical HR activities eg Pay and Bonus reviews.
- Collaborate with HR to promote data governance to help improve data quality and insight


Skills, as HR Data Analyst we are looking for someone with the following skills:

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high quality work.
- Ability to manipulate data through IT systems and ability to learn new technology
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office, in particular advanced skills in Excel
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Self-motivated and able to plan and deliver work without close supervision
- Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times



- Experience working within an analytical role
- Experience within an HR discipline desirable but not essential
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured data
- Understanding of statistical analysis to predict outcomes is desirable but not essential
- Working within an international virtual team
