A global manufacturer of precision engineered components to the aerospace sector is currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Engineer. With previous experience working in the aerospace sector you will have a good understanding of associated standards and processes.

Commutable from: Crewe, Northwich, Stock On Trent, Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Leek, Congleton.

Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 40,000 + pension + life assurance

Suitable for: Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, QA Engineer, APQP Engineer.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement APQP/PPAP processes.
Interpret any relevant new international standards and customer standards and perform gap analyses to identify any shortfall in QMS.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation including Process Flow Charts, Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAP files, FAIRs and pre-audits.
Develop Integrated Management Procedures to achieve on-going compliance of AS9100.
Investigate quality related issues using root cause analysis tools such as 5Whys, 8D, etc.
Assist with the on-going development of the Quality Management Systems in order to achieve compliance.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation including Process Flow Charts, Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAP files, FAIRs and pre-audits.
Internal and external auditing.
Record, collate and analyse quality related data in order to report trends on defects and non-conformance issues.

The Candidate

You will have previous experience working in a quality assurance role and a good understanding of APQP process. Having previous worked in the aerospace sector you will be well practised with AS9100 standards, FMEAs, PPAPs and FAIRs.

With a relevant engineering qualification you will be a good communicator and with a ‘right first time’ attitude
