Change Public Practice are delighted to be working with a mid-tier client in the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant for a 12 month maternity cover for their Edinburgh based Business Advisory department. This role will allow you the chance to work within a well-established team to support management but will also offer you the chance to develop your skills further whilst working with a variety of commercial and charity clients.

This opportunity will suit an ambitious individual who is keen to progress within Public Practice. Due to the size of the team, you will be involved in a variety of tasks and no two days will be the same.

Key duties within this role will include:
- Preparation of year-end accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Management accounts prouuction
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns

To be considered for this role:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within Practice
- QBE, Part-Qualified ACCA/ICAS or keen to commence a professional qualification
- Strong background in accounts preparation is a must
- Working knowledge of Xero and Sage software packages is preferred but not essential
