I have an exciting new engineering opportunity located within London

The role is as a Lead Engineer / Shift Supervisor within a well known and long established company.

The role will pay an annual salary of £30,000 - £32,000 with flexible overtime.

The Shift pattern is a Monday - Friday double days based role.
(one week 6-2, next week 2-10)

Reporting into the Engineering Manager you would be supervising a team of 7 engineers to control the ongoing maintenance.

The vacancy is looking to add a lead engineer to the setup, in order to bridge the gap between engineering and management, to assist in driving the engineering teams towards hitting their targets.

Key Responsibilities will be:
-Supervising a team of 7 Engineers throughout daily maintenance taskings.
-Working alongside engineering management to review targets and improve efficiencies.
-High quality engineering support to enable continuous running of production equipment
-Rapid response to breakdowns
-Effective fault diagnosis to ensure first time fixes
-Carrying out autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly and recording work competed accurately in the correct documentation
-Adhering to laid down systems of work
-Working safely within health & safety standards
-Inspections of equipment at predetermined intervals to ensure there is no risk to product from contamination by foreign bodies arising from equipment damage
-Ensure effective maintenance service is provided to the factory to minimize delays and downtime of machines.

Ideally you would be an Engineer (Mechanical Bias) with previous experience in:
-Supervising teams of engineers (Essential).
-Highly time-sensitive environments.
-Industrial working areas.
-Boiler maintenance and repair (essential)
-F-GAS certification (advantageous)
- Welding and Fabrication repairs and maintenance
- Continuous Improvement/Six Sigma fundamentals (advantageous)
-17th edition IEE Regs trained - preferred but not essential
-Electrical maintenance skills.
-Experience of high volume production areas
-Proven ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
-Effective communication skills
-Good interpersonal skills
-Self motivated with a proactive approach
-Can work unsupervised and make decisions when required
