Deputy Finance Manager
37.5 hours per week
As Deputy Finance Manager you will lead and develop an accounts team to deliver a high quality finance service. You will be a Head of Department within the hospital and work together with other HODs on common projects, implementing the strategy of the Senior Management Team.
Your primary responsibility will be the management of the Business Office finance team and the delivery of the hospital accounting function. You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. You will ensure that controls are in place in accordance with Nuffield Health financial governance policies and become the in house expert for system processes and compliance.
You will have excellent IT skills and be used to manipulating large volumes of data in excel and using accounting systems.
You will have relevant experience in a similar role and hold an accounting qualification such as AAT or be part qualified in ACCA / CIMA or equivalent. You will have a strong understanding of accounting ledgers and double entry book-keeping. You will have experience in managing teams.
Requirements for Post
- Required: Good standard of general education
- Preferred: AAT or equivalent financial qualification
- Previous Knowledge, Skills and / or Experience
- Preferred: Approximately 4 years relevant experience within an accounting role with supervisory responsibilities
- Required: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- Desirable: Experience within the Healthcare environment
