Furniture Sales Executive - Cardiff - £17.5k pa
Our client is a prestigious furniture manufacturer and retailer - but this is far more than just a retail role. It’s about treating customers as individuals and providing them with a truly consultative interior design service. As a member of a small team your day will be varied and you will need good attention to detail as well as the ability to close sales and recall a wide range of product knowledge. Your clients will rely on your design expertise but will often have a clear idea of what they want. Your role is to make sure that they are delighted with their final purchase and return to the store again and again.
This is initially a maternity cover role to October 2017.
You will be joining a fantastic high end furniture retailer committed to providing individual service, products and fashion for the home. They are passionate about what they do but remain focused on the need to generate sales as well as provide beautiful solutions.
To be considered for this role you need a combination of high end consultative sales skills and a flair for design. It is important to note that we will be looking for people who have sold high value products to the public using a consultative approach, rather than taking money at a till. Please do not disappoint yourself by applying without this combination of skills and experience.
You should have a strong retail sales background with experience of one-to-one selling, along with a creative flair or interest in interiors and, above all, be committed to delivering superb customer service. Your CV should reflect this interest.
To be successful in this role you will pro-actively promote the company's products to deliver store sales in line with targets. You will ensure that customer service standards are exceptional before and after sales and provide a sales service that is appropriate to individual customer needs and expectations.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy selling, but are flexible team players, willing to contribute to the store’s overall success by truly embracing the ethos of complete customer service and ultimate satisfaction. The store is open to the public seven days a week so staff must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis.
Benefits include a starting base salary of £11,420 per annum with commission - guaranteed at £17,130 per annum for 3 months, by which time you will be earning in excess of £17,500. 30 days holiday including bank holidays, pension scheme, life assurance and generous staff sale scheme.
