The Opportunity

Excellent opportunity within our client business, a high growth VC backed multi-site sport and fitness business operating throughout London and the South East. Having just secured a new round of funding the Board are looking to make a key hire in finance. This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified Accountant with a keen interest in high growth SME’s and sport and fitness.

The Role

This is a number one role where you will work closely with the COO across all financial aspects of the business. This will include;

Financial Management

  • To be the first point of contact for finance matters
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company
  • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
  • Develop appropriate procedures & controls to ensure effective segregation of duties across the business
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Financial Analysis

Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports

Ongoing management of individual site P&L’s

  • Create variance analysis template
  • Create Dashboard of financial and operational KPI’s across the business
  • Develop trend analysis approach to revenues and costs to manage margins, stocking & staffing
  • Reforecast
    • Ongoing management of budgets and reforecasts
  • Cash
    • Manage ongoing cash requirements

Audit

Main point of contact for auditors

Ensure ongoing liaison to ensure annual monitoring is carried out

Other

Ongoing analysis of competitors and market trends
