Cash Management - Team Member

Duration: Starting ASAP - 3 months

£9.00 PAYE

Manchester City Centre

My client a large retail organisation, is seeking appoint a new team member to their cash management team in Manchester city centre.

As a team member in the cash management team you'll be responsible for incoming sales ledger cash, identifying and allocating it to the Accounts Receivable ledger within agreed deadlines, investigating any discrepancies and ensuring the prompt resolution of these and assisting with Coupon reconciliation and queries.

Key Responsibilities & candidate attributes

Required -

* Good working knowledge of bank reconciliation and Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Ability to understand and deliver against customer requirements
* Proficient IT skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy

* Willingness to learn new skills and approach challenges

Role and Responsibilities -

* To take ownership of all incoming cheques and BACS as part of a daily and weekly reconciliation of sales ledger payments into the bank accounts.
* Record and investigate all items to ensure prompt allocation.
* Prepare and process exception items for netting off between Purchase Ledger and Accounts
* Receivable where the Auto Net Off process fails.
* Ensure regular contact with external customers, Food stores, Pharmacy branches, other departments within Financial Shared Services and other Finance teams to resolve issues and promote best practice.
* Provide regular updates to the Team Manager on outstanding issues/discrepancies and where necessary discuss a resolution to the issue.
* Assist in preparing balance sheet account reconciliations at period end, clearly identifying reconciliation issues.
* To assist in the review of process documentation and the training of new / existing team members and provide support and guidance to them as required.
