Firm of Stockbrokers based in London are looking for a Part-Time Payroll Associate for their London office, to cover for Maternity leave 2 days+ per week.

Purpose of role:
To contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective Payroll service to the company.

Main responsibilities include:
Manage the payroll and any payroll-related matters including: monthly completion and sign-off, monthly reconciliations, liasing with the payroll bureau, tax and NICs calculations for adhoc payments (share options) etc.

Prepare the monthly pension schedule, reconcile against the payroll, liaise with pension brokers and ensure that the auto-enrolment process is completed each month

Manage the loan administration, liaising with Finance to ensure loan receipts are received and recorded monthly, prepare correspondence and individual loan statements when necessary.

Assist with claw back of bonuses, including processing end of year adjustments and keeping track of payments received / due.

Prepare the staff costing report and liaise with Finance to reconcile numbers

Keep the shares data up-to-date for reporting ad-hoc, send quarterly schedules to the share scheme trustees, process vesting liabilities through the payroll, calculate share sales and send sale instructions, file the forms 35/42 annually, give effective information to external auditors.

Deal with the historic EBT funds where appropriate.

Act as liaison with HMRC/KPMG on all tax and NICs-related matters, including HMRC PAYE audits and ad-hoc investigations (e.g. staff loans etc.)

Manage the annual P11D process including review of all staff expenses & benefits, production & distribution of staff P11Ds, liaising with HMRC on the company's PSA ensuring all correspondence is sent and all payments are made as appropriate

Build a strong relationship with Finance monthly to assist in queries on the monthly payroll

Assist employees with general questions in connection with Payroll
