Our client, a leading independent consultancy providing expert advice on Insurance, is seeking to recruit an Account Handler within their Small Business Commercial Team.

The role has been created to support the continued success and ambitious plans for they currently have within their Bristol office.

This offers a great opportunity for someone who has experience in commercial or personal lines insurance, and is keen to work in a fast paced team.

We are looking for an ambitious candidate with excellent communication skills who combines strong customer handling and administration skills with a positive approach and a desire to achieve results. An understanding of general insurance is desirable, ideally gained within a broker or insurer environment.

What will I be doing?

You will be providing outstanding customer service to a portfolio of clients, increasing retention and enhancing revenue streams.

Dealing with small commercial policies
Maximise client business retention by efficient/prompt handling of all matters, day to day enquiries, renewals etc.
Review insurer placements to ensure that best advice is offered at all times
To ensure clients are offered appropriate premium payment options
Maintain and increase profit from existing client bank as evidenced by retention rates and commission
Develop strong relations with key suppliers as evidenced by account size and profitability
Cross selling on existing client database
To handle client's enquiries from own and team's client account ensuring that all client instructions are handled promptly and accurately
To send out client renewals and deal with subsequent enquiries in a timely and compliant manner
Essential experience and skills required

Experience in a broker or commercial insurance environment is a real advantage
Exceptional customer focus with great relationship building skills
Strong communication skills
The ability to handle and prioritise large workloads
Understanding of working within SLA's
Target driven with the ability to meet and exceed expectations
Strong team player
Articulate
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Acturis knowledge is useful
Cert CII qualified or prepared to work towards
