Job Title - Project Quantity Surveyor

Salary - £40k-£50k plus package

Location - South West London

The Company:

Our client are one of South West London's leading builders of high quality, prestigious projects. Over a 30-year period, their reputation for creating outstanding residential schemes has extended into commercial developments, with a typical spend of up to £10 million.

They are involved in both new build bespoke schemes and high end refurbishment projects, all of which are in sought after locations in London & Surrey. They quality of the work and finishes are exceptional.

The scheme the Quantity Surveyor will be based on initially is located in Wimbledon. It consists of around 20 high end concrete frame units.

The Role:

Reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following;

  • Prepare and dispatch tender packages to subcontractors
  • Set up job files and all necessary records
  • Collate subcontractor tenders and in consultation with the Contracts Manager, award subcontracts
  • In conjunction with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, check and approve subcontractor claims for payment
  • Liaise with subcontractors to resolve queries
  • Assess and cost variations to contract
  • Update and maintain records
  • Assist with contract valuations
  • Assist with monthly cost/value reconciliations
  • In conjunction with the Senior Project Surveyor, submit and agree final accounts
  • Predominantly office based but site visits will be required through South London or adjacent Home Counties

To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Experience working on concrete frame projects
  • Have a minimum 5 years demonstrated commercial UK experience
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Must be computer literate
