Operations Manager (Serviced Apartments)

Central London

£27,000 - £30,000 + £2,000 bonus

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm with 1 week in 6 on call.

Our client is a leading property management company specialising in 'Luxury serviced apartments. These are fully furnished apartments available for both long and short term stays. They offer the services of a hotel but the privacy and convenience of staying in your own home. To ensure the apartments are ready for let, and after contract end, returned to the landlords in immaculate condition, the "Operations Support" team step in.

In Charge of the set ups and disposals of the apartments as well as the monitoring of housekeeping and stock control, the Operations team oversee the brand control of the company.

To ensure the smooth delivery of the department and to constantly deliver the company standards our client is looking to take on an Operations Support Executive to look after the capable team of coordinators.

Managing a team of 5 you will manage the apartment set up and disposal process, deal with escalations, monitor stock levels, quality control and housekeeping scheduling. You will also be managing the team rotas.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Set ups and Disposals

This is the core part of the role - ensuring the team are fully up to date with the apartment standards.

  • Brand control - ensure all apartments are up to company standard prior to guest check in. This will involve scheduling and forecasting, selecting furniture and assisting with design as well as conducting audits to ensure standards.
  • At end of contract facilitating the removal of stock and coordinating quality control checks to ensure apartments are returned to landlords in perfect condition.
  • Ordering and selection of furniture in keeping with brand standards
  • Working closely with a senior director regarding interior design of the apartments to brand standards
  • Reading reports and advising senior management of staff requirements


  • Responsible for the housekeeping contracts and contract negotiation
  • Dealing with escalations and complaints
  • Managing the team to ensure housekeeping is allocated according to set up timetables
  • Produce report for senior manager during escalation process.

Stock Management

  • Management and mentoring of stock room staff
  • The development of new processes
  • Monitoring minimum stock levels
  • Negotiation of new contracts

This is a role very much focused on the monitoring of the company brand - there will be a focus on quality control and audit pf apartments and looking at reports to ensure set ups and disposals are carried out. You will work closely with the acquisitions department who are in charge of bringing new apartments brought on to the portfolio.

Requirements for this position

  • Proven management experience preferably within operations
  • Experience in mentoring and managing a team
  • A sense of style and some experience with interior design is desirable
  • A methodical and practical approach with the ability to look at reports and find solutions
  • Strong people management with the ability to delegate and bring out the best in your team.
  • An ideal position for hotel operations managers or property managers looking for a more operations focused role.
  • A bubbly personality and strong decision making ability
