Our client, an engineering business, seek to appoint an ambitious and highly experienced Technical Sales Manager to lead and deliver business and sales growth. The appointed Sales Manager will be involved in all aspects of the development and management of new and existing client relationships into a number of industries and will be covering Yorkshire and the North East. On offer is a competitive salary alongside a commission scheme, company car and benefits.

The main requirement of this Sales Manager role is to personally manage, promote and grow profitable sales of the Divisions products in the territory to existing and prospective customers, managing time effectively between visiting existing customers while continuously targeting new accounts in order to meet or exceed set targets.

Sales Manager Skills and Abilities Field Sales / Sales Engineer / Flow Control / Machinery / Mechanical Engineering

Ideally good understanding of fluid handling products
*Experience of technical field sales and knowledge of these industries in the area are key to the position. A mechanical engineering qualification or background would be advantageous.
*The candidate should have excellent communication skills, experience in face-to-face sales negotiations at all levels and the ability to assess and accurately record and report customers technical and commercial requirements.
*The position also requires a mature, professional attitude, high level of self-management, discipline, organisation and a willingness to undertake a considerable workload.
