This leading process plant & control systems business are looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their thriving organisation. Working from their Burton-on-Trent office and attracting a salary of £20-25k + excellent career development opportunity and opportunity for international travel, you will be responsible for producing 2D and 3D designs for projects within the beverage, pharmaceutical and food industries.

This role provides the unrivalled progression opportunity, being involved in live, exciting projects from the off-set. Working within a multi-disciplined project team you will be responsible for contributing towards the wider design of high integrity process plant and control systems projects.
Key responsibilities:

- Preparation of 2D AutoCAD drawings
- 3D modelling including vessels, pipework & equipment
- Preparation of P&ID's
- Liaison with 3rd party contractors & suppliers and civil/structural partners

Occasional duties

- Preparation of plant and equipment specification
- Supplier selection and order placement
- Site visits

Ongoing career development opportunities include progression into Senior Design and/or Project Engineering/Management roles.


 The successful candidate will be:

- HNC qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Highly driven with the desire to progress within a vibrant business
