I have a number of exciting opportunities for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a lovely and supportive children's home in Birmingham which provides essential and valuable care to children and young people aged 7 to 18 yrs who have complex needs.

To be successful in this role you will ideally hold the QCF Level 3 in Supporting Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you will have a wealth of relevant work experience and be working or willing to work towards a formal childcare qualification. Experience working with children in either a residential setting, outreach, community work, youth work or Pupil Referral Unit settings would be beneficial to the RCW role.

The ideal candidate for this lovely Children's Home will have a passion for working with children. You will need to have an open mind and be able to support children who may act out and present you with challenging behaviour. Therefore previous experience supporting children with EBD or challenging behaviour would be helpful. You will be a special person who understands the level of responsibility that comes with being a Children's Residential Support Worker.

For your support and commitment you will be paid a salary of £16,043 a year plus a generous SLEEP IN ALLOWANCE. You will be given on-going training opportunities and the chance to work for an organisation that values its staff and puts the needs of the children in their care at the heart of what they do!
