Shift Manager

Our client is currently seeking a strong Shift Manager to oversee a fast paced production / restaurant environment. Ideal candidate with excellent communication skills and ability to manage people, teams, team leaders, deal with customers (complaints handling), business planning, maintenance scheduling, inventory management, security, training and development. The company is looking to add value to the company's management team with a view to increasing customer service and satisfaction to highest levels.

The Role

* The ideal candidate will be a strong customer focused leader and role model
* Able to guide the team to prepare the customer's meal with highest standards
* Lead by example giving people and customers full attention and highest levels of service
* Adapt to customer's needs providing a customer experience exceeding expectations
* Keep up-to-date with knowledge regarding promotions and offers
* Empower the team to deliver highest quality customer service as a supportive manager
* Embrace customer complaints as feedback/opportunity for continuous improvement
* Understand the company's business plan and corresponding reports and metrics
* Work with the Business Directors and management to communicate and meet targets
* Attend and participate in weekly managers meetings
* Complete and verify daily productivity and safety check-lists and monitor food safety procedures during the shift

Key Requirements

* Excellent people management skills
* Confident with the ability to use initiative when interacting with colleagues and customers
* Relevant food safety and hygiene certificates
* Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels
* Experienced in overseeing management of inventory and stock levels
* Planned and daily maintenance of equipment
* Ability to oversee coordinate and manage within a fast paced production environment
* High levels of customer service skills
* Conscientious with strong health and safety, safety and security skills
* Shift Management - ability to plan and coordinate shifts and oversee sickness cover
* Coordinating training, mentoring and managing training and development of staff
* Dealing with HR issues such as disciplinary and grievances procedures
