What qualifications & experience do we require?

  • GCSE grade C or equivalent in English & Maths
  • NVQ level 3 in childcare
  • Minimum of 12 months nursery / nanny experience

Key duties

  • Safety & well being of child & yourself is our number 1 priority
  • Responding with flexibility to specific parent / child needs and wants, and prioritising accordingly
  • Understanding and agreeing child's routines - likes/dislikes
  • Awareness and control of allergies, administering medicines, support with individual needs
  • Structured feedback to parents
  • Duties that directly involve looking after the child only
  • Daily, weekly, monthly feedback to parents of child's activities, development and fun
  • Support and provision of appropriate stimulating activities for the development of the child
  • Preparing appropriate healthy and nutritious meals and baby feeds
  • Cleaning and tidying children's toys rooms and play/living areas
  • Engaging children in lively and fun activities appropriate to their age
  • Taking the child to playgroup/nursery/school
  • Caring for the child should they be ill
  • Expenses management related to the child
