Main duties shall include but are not limited to:
* Apply professional judgement to interpret and apply policies and procedures to meet specific local or service needs.
* Provide day to day management input and professional advice to staff to ensure operational plans and activities are delivered effectively.
* Identify opportunities for the continual improvement of operations in service area in order to deliver cost effective services that meet agreed quality standards.
* Lead small projects and implement changes and improvements within agreed cost, time and quality standards.
* Where relevant manage service level budgets and resources in order to support the delivery of intended outcomes and demonstrate value for money.
* Accountable for an invest to save project of more than £650,000 value, directly affecting the whole operations of adult social care
* Specific accountabilities
* Lead large scale strategic projects and implement changes and improvements within agreed cost, time and quality standards to deliver the council's savings target on assistive technology
* Lead other significant or strategic projects and implement changes and improvements within agreed cost, time and quality standards as directed by the Head of Service
* Accountable for an invest to save project of more than £650,000 value, directly affecting the whole operations of adult social care
* Responsible for managing effective day-to-day delivery of a specific service within clear budgets and standards.

The ideal candidate should have:
* Experience of strategic programme and project management in a complex and dynamic environment
* Proven track record of the successful implementation of assistive technology in adult social care or a similar environment
* Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to for the relevant work area.
