I am working with one of the leading housing developers in Yorkshire and they are looking to grow their team. They are looking for a Site manager to oversee the developments from start to finish. My client is looking for someone that comes from a residential background and has the drive and enthusiasm to get the best from the tradesmen on site.

Job Responsibilities
• Prepare weekly activity and progress reports for submission to the Construction Director and Build Manager.
• Full responsibility and control of site staff and sub-contractors
• Actively encourage a philosophy of safety, progress, quality and innovation
• Liaison with head office, LABC and local authority departments
• Timely ordering of materials to ensure build programme can be achieved
• Understand the Health and Safety requirements relating to operations under their control and ensure they are fully and correctly implemented, in accordance with the appropriate risk assessments and/or method statements.
• Pre-plan operations in conjunction with the Build Manager to co-ordinate Health and Safety taking into account any special hazards or problems involved.
• Monitor the reports produced by Health and Safety to ensure that the recommendations they contain are implemented.
• Ensure statutory inspection reports on scaffolding, excavations, lifting appliances, accidents etc are completed as required.
• Ensure that adequate first aid stocks are maintained and that a trained first aider or appointed person is available on site.
• Record and report all accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Record variations and measure thereof to all subcontract works
• To attend and participate in training as required
