We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team based in Grantham, although this is a field based sales role.

The ideal candidate for this role must have Sales Management experience, so please only apply if you can demonstrate this on your CV.

The Role
For the position of Sales Manager, we are looking for someone who can learn about a brand new product within our client's business and think of appropriate channels to take the product to market using their sales skills and experiences.

We need someone who is going to be resilient enough to communicate with all staff levels including to influence stakeholders.

As Sales Manager your responsibilities will include:
* Identifying and implementing product and process improvements from both a customer and commercial viewpoint
* Ensuring products are subject to rigorous product management and that appropriate reviews and improvements are made in a timely manner
* Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both distributors and suppliers

Knowledge & Experience
The person for the role of Sales Manager would ideally have experience of dealing with and selling a start-up product / brand. We are looking for a methodical person who can deliver results and work under pressure.

As Sales Manager, it is required that you have:
* Minimum 1 years product management experience
* Experience of full ownership of a product P + L
* Full understanding and experience of full product life cycle

And it is highly desirable that you have:
* A entrepreneurial mind-set, ideally with experience in start-ups, corporate innovation groups or high-growth companies
* Experience of building relationships with and managing third parties providers, ideally both distributors and suppliers
* To have worked within a multi group company and have experience of matrix management

The Person
For the role of Sales Manager, the ideal candidate will have / be:

* Strong relationship management skills
* Experience and proven success in translating business analysis and human needs into successful consumer products
* Strong influencing and leadership skills and be an effective cross-functional driver
* Ability to be flexible on a day to day basis with task priority
* Understand and be able to improve upon existing product management framework
* Recognise where products are not performing to their full potential from both a customer and commercial angle and devise and implement activity for improvement
* Ability to identify new opportunities for distribution, whether that be through existing distribution and products or new distribution and products
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects to tight timescales.

Salary: up to £60,000k with a £5,400 car allowance (negotiable for the right indivual
