- Our client is a genuine global leader in the manufacture and distribution of aluminium and timber windows and doors. They have tremendous growth plans and offer excellent training, support and career development. They are innovative in their product development.


- You will be selling the companies range of aluminium and timber windows and doors.

- You will be selling to Architects, Specifiers, Main and sub contractors and Property Developers.

- This is a project led sales role. You'll gain the specification with the Architect and track it through and sell directly to the contractor.

- Typical project value would range from £50k-£150k, although the larger projects could be worth up to £500k.

- Projects would cover both the commercial and domestic markets and would include Schools, Care Homes, Office blocks, Student accommodation and some residential, for example, apartment blocks.

- The role has come about due to the current incumbent, who has been with the business over 20 years, retiring at Christmas, so the successful candidate will have the benefit of a cross over period, where you'll be introduced to the customer base.

- You will influence the design team on the basis of both aesthetics and performance, with for example, the acoustic engineer and structural engineer.

- You will continuously develop and enhance existing relationships with architects, to identify and pursue projects across the project range.

- You will work closely with the awarded contractor to protect the specification, or break a competitors specification.

- You will identify decision makers on projects and keep close to them. Furthermore identify decision influencers and proactively communicate with them to ensure that our client is always in the best position to obtain the order.

- You will be covering the North of England, which includes Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, Coventry, Lincoln, Hull, York.


- You will have a minimum of 2 years field sales experience with Architects, Specifiers, Contractors, with a clear understanding of the mechanics of construction, who's who in the building industry and the stages of the building programme.

- Experience of long lead time project sales.

- IT Literate, commercially strong

- You will ideally have sold an exterior, building envelope solution, such as cladding, fenestration, solar shading, windows, doors, roofing etc.

- You must be a good networker, with a demonstrable track record of sales success.

- You will have good presentation skills

- You will be able to communicate with building professionals on a business to business level.

- You will have a proven track record of sales experience.

- A consultative sales approach.


- Basic salary of £36k- £45k+ dependent on experience

- £10K-£15K+ in commission, paid quarterly

- Company car- Audi A4 type, or car allowance of £5400 per annum

- 5% contributory pension

- Private medical cover, plus reduced cost for family.

- 25 days holiday, plus the ability to buy or sell up to 5 days holiday.

- Breakfast, lunch and dinner allowance of up to £45 daily, subject to certain conditions.
