Contract Manager - Cost Controller
A commercial role in Clevedon that would be ideal for a Contract Manager looking for an exciting challenge.
Hays are working in partnership with a local organisation that hold presence throughout a number of Bristol and Bath sites. Currently Seeking a Cost Controller to join the team based at the Clevedon- West Bristol on a 12 month contract basis.
Your new role
You will be a key member of the team dealing with the financial and commercial management of the engineering and construction contracts. You will be putting together financial reports, assisting in the preparation of weekly journals and Commercial reports as well. You will also be liaising with the teams working on-site to make sure all invoicing is done correctly.
A large part of the job will be managing the contract so previous experience from construction or utilities companies would come very useful.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previously worked in a similar position ideally for a construction or engineering. You will have an analytical approach and be highly numerate, with strong system skills (including advanced Excel) with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data. You will be comfortable communicating with all levels within a company and have good attention to detail. You will also need to have a good understanding of double entry bookkeeping.
