PHP Developer/Architect - Central London - £52,000pa
My client is looking for a PHP developer/architect who is dedicated to their craft, writes code they are proud of and can hit the ground running. You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the on-going software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.
You will need to write beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of my clients products in meaningful ways.

? Write "clean", well designed code
? Produce detailed specifications and designs
? Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
? Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
? Follow & implement industry best practices in all aspects of the SDLC
? Work with multiple internal and stakeholders to gather and document requirements
? Ability to mentor Junior Developers.
? Work with the head of development in estimation exercises
? Work with the Chief Architect/C.T.O to ensure designs are fit for purpose
? Take technical responsibility of large projects
? Code Reviews
? Minimum of 5 Years of proven software development, experience in PHP a must.
? Ability to work at the UX/UI level as well as core server code.
? Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, OpenCart etc
? Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services(mySQL,Git)
? Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)
? Experience in integrating with Payment Services Providers and Payment Gateways and the implementation of such services in a range of products.
? Awareness of DPA and PCI demonstrated in design and code
? Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
? BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject a bonus
? Must have real life industry experience in the whole SDLC.
? Ability to work in a fast changing development and business environment.
? Ability to work by yourself or in a team.
? Use of multiple Operating Systems(not just windows)
? Ability to code in not just PHP, desirable.
? Ability to use Graphic Manipulation packages such as GIMP and PhotoShop
