A Health & Safety Training Officer is required in Sheffield, South Yorkshire with a world class metals manufacturer supplying mainly to the a range of industries. Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, the Health & Safety Training Manager will use their knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture drive across the business, ensuring people are correctly trained and safe at work.

Health & Safety Training Officer Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Taking control of all Health & Safety related programmes taking the programmes and making them bespoke to suit the right audience.
- Responsible for all of the Training Needs Analysis across the business to ensure the right people are safe at work and fully trained.
- Able to facilitate and co-ordinate both shop floor and senior level training.
- Possess a broad spectrum of training skills and expertise.
- Ensure that the company's legal requirements are met in terms of operator competence
- Engage with senior managers and other plant instructors in defining training needs within business units
- Develop a structure and methodology as to how training is to be most effectively developed
- Maintain accurate training records

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- NEBOSH certificate, ideally working towards diploma (or equivalent).
- Several years in a HSE training focused role.
- Train the trainer qualified.
- Heavy industry background.
- Good working knowledge of constructing planning and delivering training modules and sessions
- Experience in operating equipment on a busy fast moving manufacturing site
